How to play

Descend through a 44-card dungeon. Your goal is simple: clear every room without letting your health fall to zero.

Diamonds are weapons

Equip one to reduce a monster’s damage. A weapon can only strike monsters equal to or weaker than the last monster it defeated.

Hearts are potions

Recover the card’s value, up to 20 health. Only the first potion you drink in each room heals you.

Spades and clubs are monsters

Fight bare-handed and lose their full value, or use an eligible weapon and lose only the difference.

Each room begins with four cards. Clear three and carry the last card into the next room.
You may avoid a room by placing all its cards at the bottom of the deck—but never twice in a row.
Jacks are 11, queens 12, kings 13, and aces 14.
When the deck is empty, clear every card left on the table to escape.
